Lt. Talamantez is a 15 year veteran of the Panama City Beach Police Department. He began his career in 2004 after he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Lt. Talamantez is considered a career investigator having spent 14 of his 15 years in the investigative field.
He has specialized in several areas including Undercover Narcotic Investigations, Organized Crime, Domestic Security, Criminal Intelligence and Cyber Crimes. Currently, Lt. Talamantez is a full time Task Force Officer with Homeland Security Investigations and focuses his time investigating Internet Crimes Against Children. He is also an active member of the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task force.
In 2015, Lt. Talamantez was named the State of Florida Law Enforcement Official of the year by Governor Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi for his efforts in battling human trafficking.
Lt. Talamantez is the creator of the Parents Against Predators Program which focuses on educating the public about the dangers of the internet. The P.A.P. program has been extremely successful in the tri-state area of Florida, Alabama and Georgia.
Lt. Talamantez has been invited to gives lectures in and around the state of Florida regarding his expertise on internet safety. Most recently, Lt. Talamantez was invited to speak at the Center for Disease control in Atlanta, Georgia and the State of Florida Krimes Against Kids Conference.
